Launched in 2014, the Creator Class is a collective of filmmakers and photographers who have a passion for creating original visual dialogue -- which it invites like-minded creatives to contribute to as well.
Recently, the Toronto-based collective produced 'On Fashion And Images,' a project that draws from the crossing worlds of fashion and photography and that was hosted at the collective's Toronto studio space, Free Space. Throughout the short film, the Creator Class explores the relationship between OFF-WHITE designer Virgil Abloh and photographer and director Fabien Montique.
With their dialogue coupled with artful visuals, the pair discuss their creative inspiration -- talking about the concept of youth, Paris' rave scene and the inviting sense of freedom that emits from them both. More specifically, Virgil Abloh reveals the importance of maintaining an eager outlook. He describes this by saying, "I got here by remaining the 17-year-old version of myself," which allowed him to weave his passion into his work.
