The suit is designed for indoor wear and utilizes a series of resistance-based components to transform activities like walking or reaching into mini exercises. The suit also works in tandem with electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) technology to further help the wearer's muscles contract and maintain their form when exposed to zero gravity environments.
The conceptual Cosmofit Exosuit could help to combat against the occurrence of muscle loss that occurs at an accelerated rate during space travel. The intuitive design of the suit means it can be discreetly worn without disrupting important work during missions.
