The Cool Design Smart Glass is an eyewear concept, developed by noted Japanese electronics manufacturer Murata in conjunction with the city of Sabae, that was showcased at the CEATEC 2015 event.
These augmented reality smart glasses are designed to give wearer the ability to control their domestic appliances remotely without having to make any physical effort, such as searching for a remote control or walking to the wall switch. The device also happens to incorporate the world's smallest micro PS switch module.
When a user looks at an appliance, an icon appears in their line of sight. If it matches the appliance, the user confirms the selection by pushing a button.
The Cool Design Smart Glass is still a concept, but Murata is known for bringing concepts into fruition so watch this space.
