Cooke Optics Unveils a Collection of SP3 Prime Lenses for Video Viewing

Cooke Optics, a British manufacturer of film lenses, has officially showcased the new SP3 prime lens series, which is expected to benefit documentaries, sports, natural history, and YouTube videos thanks to its realistic picture quality. The range comprises the 25mm, 32mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm focal lengths, all equipped with an E-mount.

"This ‘democratisation’ means that we can now offer truly cinematic glass to the traditional pro-video market at an accessible price point and with flexibility of camera mounts, enabling more DOP’s to enhance the narrative of their stories," said Tim Pugh, chief executive officer of Cooke Optics.

The lenses weigh between 500g/1.10 lbs and 690g/1.52 lbs, making them ideal for small-scale gimbals and drones that can withstand the size. All lenses in the SP3 collection come with a dual focus scale.
