Funky Geometric Kitchens

This dramatic kitchen by UK-Based designer Darren Morgan allows its functional prowess to be disguised by the fluidity of its form. Soft geometry is used to smudge the rigid and sometimes harsh lines of contemporary kitchen design with unbroken curves adding aesthetic interest and allowing this kitchen design to ebb its way into the surrounding architecture, ensuring that every inch of functional performance is optimized.

The design is punctuated by circular pod units that adopt a commanding position in the foreground. Dramatic colors and traditionally styled doors contrast dramatically against the rest of the kitchen. These feature pods are positioned along key entry point sight lines to increase the aesthetic drama of the design. The elevated pod positions help to shield work processes from view whilst encouraging social loitering and human interaction.

The aesthetic impact is completed with the inclusion of a feature ceiling which mirrors the fluid contours of the kitchen beneath. The up-lit ceiling allows services to be absorbed into the surrounding architecture whilst adding a holistic and dramatic edge to this uncompromising design. This kitchen has been designed to transform itself from an everyday functional space into a powerful and dramatic backdrop to any social event.
