Barclaycard has unveiled its 'Contactless Cones' promotion in celebration of ten years of contactless payment.
Barclaycard has teamed up with 'One Coronetto' ice cream truck in London to install a contactless cone system where customers can bypass the que to pay and pour their own cone in less than 60 seconds. Barclaycard's research has shown that consumers wait an average of nearly eight minutes in the line for an ice cream truck -- and almost half (40%) report being frustrated by long wait times at ice cream vans.
According to Vince Bianco, Owner and vendor of One Cornetto, "I am always looking for innovative ways to improve my business and anything that allows me to serve double the number of happy customers and reduce the queuing time is a ‘win’ for me."
