The wearable technology was created by designer Kazuo Kawasaki and produced by Japanese optics company Masunaga Optical.
The eye accessory fogs up the glasses for a quick 0.2 seconds at every 10 second interval to remind you to take a break from staring at the screen. The Wink Glasses forces you to blink each time they fog up, serving as a reminder for computer users to take a break from staring at the computer screen for too long.
The fogging mechanism was developed by dipping the lens of the glasses in crystal sheets of liquid. The glasses weighs slightly more than normal, generic glasses as they are fitted with a small battery in the left arm of the glasses.
