BMW has proceeded to take the curtains off the latest and greatest version of the Mini Cooper, with the fifth generation of this venerable brand set to manifest in the form of a compact EV that is fully electric while staying true to the design language of predecessors.
This particular compact EV is available with two different powertrain options. The Cooper E variant comes with a motor that is capable of churning out 184 horsepower and 214 pounds-feet of torque while enabling the vehicle to sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds, while the Cooper SE version uses a 218-horsepower motor that enables 243 pounds-feet of torque and the ability to zoom to 100 km/h in only 6.7 seconds.
Both variants feature a range of high-tech amenities such as vision cameras for parking assistance, a dozen ultrasonic sensors and the ability to leverage smartphones to utilize virtual key access.
