Compact Co-Living Houses

Swing Boasts a Contemporary Home in Osaka That Can Houses Eight People

Due to urban density and issues of affordability, many city dwellers flock to compact co-living houses as solutions. As a result, an architectural focus is placed on functional dwellings that can meet the demands and privacy needs of many people. Japanese design studio Swing has built one such concept in the city of Osaka, Japan.

The compact co-living house spans two floors and can accommodate up to eight people. The abode has a communal living and dining space on the first floor and a "mezzanine space described by the architects as a library." The eight bedrooms are spread out, with three being on the first level and five on the one above. The home proves to be light-filled and outfitted with stylish, modern sensibilities, in mind.
