'Cofufun' is Set to Be a tremendous multi-functional public plaza near Kyoto and acts as an example of community-serving architecture. The public plaza will be comprised of "a stage, park, bike rental station, and jungle gym housed in a series of stepped saucers reassembling local topography."
The plaza's structures are characterized by its large white disc-shaped design, which were inspired by the tombs of the neighboring mountainous region, Nara Basin. The plaza will be complete with coffee shops, an information kiosk, an outdoor stage, a meeting space, a play area and a roof-topped trampoline.
