Kevin Hirth recently designed a new Colorado campsite that would allow campers to have a taste of life above the clouds. Although the clouds in question may be artificial, Hirth's unique camping spot would still provide campers with an unprecedented vantage point of the majestic Colorado landscape.
Located in beautiful Gunnison County, the scenic campsite is set to feature an elevated sleeping platform among the tree canopy. The platform is to be made from durable wood and hybrid steel, with the underside featuring a scalloped structure shaped like perfect cartoon clouds. Not only would the elevated plaza be architecturally interesting, but it would also help protect campers from the mountain lions and black bears that inhabit that surrounding forest.
Unfortunately the dreamy Colorado campsite is currently just a concept design. However, the team is currently raising funds to help turn the imaginative project into a reality.
