Pantone, in collaboration with X-Rite and global packaging supplier Sun Chemical, is launching color libraries for aluminum aerosol packaging applications. These Monobloc libraries are designed to deliver the most accurate possible color reproduction for aluminum packaging, responding to the industry’s demand for precise, dependable color consistency across complex packaging materials.
"The new libraries facilitate the accurate communication of Pantone standards in the production of monobloc cans, helping brands and metal packaging manufacturers set achievable expectations in the design, proofing, and printing for gloss or matte varnish on monobloc aerosols, aluminum collapsible tubes, cartridges, and felt pen cases," the press release states.
Developed through an intensive color-matching process, the libraries capture Pantone’s core colors in forms that translate accurately onto aluminum surfaces.
