Colorfully Modular Bookcases

The Color Box is Designed for Spontaneous Reconfiguration

Color Box is a modular bookcase designed by Henriette W. Leth. Leth's colorful storage system was designed for Danish brand Normann Copenhagen. Each piece is sold separately, and there are six different colors to choose from. The shelves aren't designed to clasp together in any way. Instead, the entire unit stays in place thanks to the weight of each individual piece and the content inside of it.

Leth said she designed Color Box because she was tired of looking at boring and colorless bookcases. Her design is anything but boring and colorless, but its true value isn't aesthetic in nature. No, the best feature of the Color Box is its modular nature. You can quickly change the look of the bookcase on the fly, and with the six different colors available, chances are that no two designs will look the same.
