South American style has always been known for its audacity, however this range of Colombian fashion is making waves with its unapologetic approach to color and detail.
In celebration of its anniversary, SHOCK magazine created a watercolor, fluorescent photoshoot featuring 25 of Colombia's best young talent. The series was inspired by the Little Mermaid and the result is vibrant yet manages to be wearable. With "do-it-yourself" attributes to the looks, the finished product features plenty of strong applique, bold texture and patterns – all on classic silhouettes. This representation of Colombian fashion is inherently youthful, defiant, and could easily be translated elsewhere in the world.
As warm weather approaches, these vibrant looks will surely find interpretations in the real world.
