Caffeine lovers looking for a bit of a meta experience in their daily lives will appreciate drinking their java out of a coffee bean cup. Dubbed Kaffeeform, the cup and saucer set refines the use of renewable materials to make a product relate directly back to the ritual at hand. A clever and creative concept, the coffee bean cup is something many people will want to try out.
Although not as pleasant an experience as a chocolate chip cookie shot glass, the coffee bean cup is quite chic. It took creator Julian Lechner five years to perfect the design. He shares, "I had all sorts of ideas on trying out existing industrial processes. As a product designer I was very attracted by the possibilities of injection moulding. However I wanted to avoid the usage of harmful plastics and it’s dependance on mineral oil."
