It seems as though a passion for hand-crafted creations such as those seen in the COD Project (Crafts Oriented Design) has risen more and more lately. Considering that technology is taking over many aspects of product design, even to the point of actually printing usable products, it should come as no surprise that people would start to crave a simpler time when things were made using the sweat and tears of their fellow man.
Designed by Rami Tareef, the Cod Project is comprised of contemporary weaved seating. Although there is definitely a crafty feel to them, their overall aesthetic is just as perfect, if not better, for modern society as technology-made furniture. It was created as part of his final design project for Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem.
