Iconic beverage label Coca-Cola recently introduced its 'Coca-Cola Clear,' which is a clear iteration of its popular Coke drink with zero calories. The concept came to fruition at its Japan division and Coca-Cola's American headquarters spent up to a year developing the recipe. There were apparently upwards of 50 samples of the clear soda before the desired recipe was finalized. The Coca-Cola Company decided on a calorie-free recipe in the end, with a hint of lemon taste.
To create the final version of the Coca-Cola Clear beverage, the label took away its main ingredient, caramel. It was replaced with a hint of lemon, along with an added tuning of its traditional base drink formula. The clear drink will be available beginning June 11th, exclusively in Japan.
