Since then, the company has stated it will be bringing a Coca-Cola alcoholic beverage to Japanese markets starting in the fall. Coca-Cola has titled the new drink Remondo and it will be sold in convenience stores and markets alongside the previous alcoholic drink from the company, titled chūhai.
The company has indicated that its venture into the alcoholic drink market will be because of efforts to sustain growth. However, the company also sees a large degree of competition in the industry. The existing drink, Chūhai, has seen some success as a less expensive option than beer.
