Accident-Prone Artistic Design

Take a Crack at CMYK Tableware by Matthias Lange

Designer Matthias Lange likes to come up with designs that creatively integrate misfortunes and daily usage wears & tears into the design itself.

According to Matthias, the CMKY tableware "converts failures and adversities that happen in everyday life into a poetic moment."

How does it do that? The tableware pieces come with a colored ceramic filling under the outside white glaze. So when the piece eventually breaks or cracks, the color appears, converting an unfortunate moment into a new design for the piece.
