South Korean fashion brand BlackYak recently developed an ultra strong clothing material known as Dyneema that offers the strength of steel paired, waterproof protection and a lightweight design that can float on water. The contrast between the strength of the fabric paired with its durability makes it ideal to use in sportswear to provide protective as well as a comfortable wear. The lightweight material is transparent and looks similar to plastic.
BlackYak offers jackets made from the Dyneema material, that are incredibly resilient for a long-lasting wear. While incredibly thin, the Dyneema boasts a strength comparable to solid steel thanks to its tensile strength. The jacket is light, breathable and slender allowing it to be easily folded up for compact travelling.
