CLOT and adidas Join Forces Once Again on a SS24 Series

CLOT and adidas work in collaboration once again on a new iteration of the Gazelles made for the Spring/Summer 2024 season. This is joined by bright tracksuits with open-knit details and bags made from leather adorned with branding motifs. Edison Chen, CLOT designer drew inspiration from various muses including people and locations.

Chen explains the inspiration to Highsnobiety, stating "I don't really use image moodboards, so I have a lot of conversations with the team. I'd call out people like Paul Newman, André 3000, Phoebe Philo, and Sofia Coppola. They're style icons to me. The approach was not to copy their style but rather, how do I translate this into something modern [...] Last year, I spent a lot of time in Europe in cities I've never been to, visiting footwear makers, living life, and seeing thousand-year-old buildings. I was in awe and inspired."

The footwear stands out in the series as some of the most iconic silhouettes by the German sportswear brand are altered in unexpected and creative ways. This can be seen in the new rope-sole that decorates the Gazelles with an elevated more sophisticated look.
