Designers Maria Roca and Erika Biarnes created clip-on supports called 'Snap' that allow you to create pieces of furniture from random objects. The two designers conjured up the idea of making a simple item that could be used to create bespoke pieces of furniture.
Snaps emerged from two thoughts -- the first though was to eliminate the use connecting elements like nails and glue. The second thought was to allow people to create their own furniture using found objects based on personal taste and preference.
The result of these ideas are clip-on supports that are epoxy paint-covered steel loops. The loops bend over at the top to create a flat point that acts as a clamp. These clamps extend on one side to become table legs. They can be attached to anything from old doors to dart boards. They are available in a variety of colors and can hold up to 154 pounds and act as a table, stool, desk or nightstand.
