Snapchat added a new feature, named City Painter, to Local Lenses. Local Lenses is a geo-targeted AR platform that allows users to produce and share multimedia content. The new City Painter feature is available in certain areas in London, where users can digitally create murals around the city.
City Painter was created by the Snap engineering team in London, to look at how AR technology can be used to create large scale experiences.
The AR feature can be accessed on the Snapchat platform by users located at Carnby Street in London. Users can virtually create graffiti murals above stores.
