CISTA is an ultra-chic alternative to a plastic rain barrel. Moss Sund Architects and figlforty have created this modern vertical stainless steel water storage unit for urban environments.
The unit attaches to your downspout and fits neatly against the house. A thermoplastic bladder holds up to 100 gallons of water collected from the roof overflow and stores it for you to use to water gardens and planted containers.
Inside, there is room for you to place a potted vine which will happily grow up CISTA’s stainless shell, creating a beautiful living green sculpture alongside your home.
CISTA will be unveiled at the Green Living Show later this month in Toronto.
