The new Cif eco refill Power & Shine cleaning products are being rolled out by Unilever as an option for consumer that helps to save on packaging. The products feature a 10-times concentrated recipe that is free of added water to let consumers mix the solution from home; this allows the refill to be far smaller than traditional offering and thus require less packaging. This comes on the heels of the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan commitment that will see it make all of its plastic packaging either reusable, recyclable or compostable by the year 2025.
The Cif eco refill Power & Shine cleaning products were explained by Vice President for Home Care at Unilever UK & Ireland Gemma Cleland who said, "This launch marks a step-change in our approach to plastic within the home care category. Put simply, Cif eco refill provides consumers with a product that has less impact on the environment whilst still giving them the great cleaning power they expect from Cif. This technology looks set to revolutionize the cleaning category for good."
