Australian mechanical designer Chris Malloy is in the process of developing a Hoverbike that would flip the world of hovercraft travel on its ear.
Chris Malloy has spent every non-working moment of the last two and a half years painstakingly trying to bring this inventive and complicated prototype to fruition.
The Hoverbike's movement is entirely controlled by the handlebars, according to GizMag, "The right grip increases the thrust, while the left grip controls the angle of the control vanes positioned under the rotors to pitch the nose of the Hoverbike down - for forward movement - or up - for moving backwards."
The Hoverbike has a maximum takeoff weight of 270 KG (595 pounds). Chris Malloy says that he hopes he can get the Hoverbike into production for next year and expects it to cost $40,000 USD.
