This holiday season, you can end your meal with a plate of Trader Joe's new Chocolate Lava Gnocchi.
As you might have guessed from the name, Trader Joe's new Chocolate Lava Gnocchi consists of potato-based pasta infused with cocoa and filled with a molten chocolate core. The product came about after Trader Joe’s VP of Product Innovation, Lori Latta, sampled some chocolate gnocchi at Harrod’s in London and felt she could do better. As she explained, "This was originally designed to be dessert, but I think that there are some people who might make a dinner out of it."
As far as prep, all consumers need to do is add a little butter or ghee to a ban to brown and warm the little chocolate dumplings.
