The Chip Clock is a humble time-teller that nevertheless makes an admirable statement. Completely crafted out of recycled material--specifically chipboard, hence its name--it would strike a strong eco stance in the home or office. The grainy texture is immediately recognizable as environmentally friendly.
Designed by Capital Craft, a design firm based in Washington, DC, the Chip Clock is deceptively simple. Despite its minimalist design, it functions quite uniquely. In place of the traditional hands, the Chip Clock sports a dial-like face with one clean slot cut into it. This 'dial' rotates around, allowing the slot to relay the time. Laser-cut and assembled by hand, the Chip Clock is simple and handsome.
The creators of the Chip Clock are currently vying for funding on Kickstarter.
