Chineasy by Noma Bar is an Intuitive Language Learning System

Chineasy by Noma Bar, a graphic designer born in Israel and based in London, England, is a collection of minimalist illustrations based around Chinese characters. Bringing them to life, he has not only created static illustrations, he has also animated them for the gif-loving population out there. More than that, however, it is a visual-based learning system that teaches the written language in a more intuitive way.

As is written on the Chineasy by Noma Bar website, "Our aim is to bring down the great wall of Chinese language." Thus the imagery associated with each Chinese character is not chosen at whim. Instead, it depicts their individual meaning. When strung together like hieroglyphs, they illustrate a story in a picture book-like way.
