Australian Seb Mayer has been designing 3D animal masks for years and has now set up a Kickstarter page to help fund his latest venture -- a cardboard chimpanzee mask.
Mayer's previous masks have depicted elephants, lions, dragons, cows, chameleons and bears just to name a few; but he says the chimpanzee mask is the most comfortable and robust of them all.
The mask consists of eight pieces of foldable cardboard that stay together without glue or adhesive. Unlike run-of-the-mill masks, Mayer's masks' mouths move when the wearer talks -- thanks to a discreetly attached string mechanism.
Aside from being great for kids, Mayer's masks also give adults a way to stand out at events such as festivals and concerts, providing anonymity, amusement and a license to act a fool without feeling self-conscious. His masks have already become a feature at festivals around the U.K. and Europe.
