A group of researchers and engineers working out of the Spanish National Research Council have developed an extraordinarily innovative and groundbreaking exoskeleton that is designed specifically for use by children.
This particular exoskeleton is made of a blend of aluminum and titanium components and weighs in at only 26 pounds, making it comfortable enough for use by children aged between 3 to 14 who may be suffering from spinal muscular atrophy, a neuro-muscular disorder that results in progressive muscle wasting. Children who contract this condition often get restricted to an inactive life which leads to further complications.
