The Chibi Tarot Card Collection is Anime Inspired

The Chibi Tarot card collection is an ongoing project by designer Adam Blodgett designed to expose a new and younger audience to the ancient art form through the alteration of the cards themselves.

While tarot reading is a complex and intimidating method of telling the future, complete with creepy images and daunting messages, the Chibi version fuses the serious nature of the art form with cuddly, kid-friendly anime images.

Since the start of the project, the artist has completed about 10 of the cutesy, hand-drawn cards as each one takes approximately 20 hours to create. All of the usual players will be included in the final version of the deck from the Death and Fool characters to significant inanimate objects like the Tower and the Moon.
