The Ilchester Cheddar Cheese with Truffle has been created by UK-based Norseland as a product for consumers to try out this fall when seeking out a foodie-inspired flavor experience.
The cheese boasts a base of British cheddar infused with black summer truffle along with a white truffle oil, which will give it a more complex flavor on the palate. The olive oil, salsa truffina and aromatic seasoning used in the oil base are sourced from Italy, while the black summer truffles have been sourced from Italy and Bulgaria. The cheese will be available at Tesco locations starting on October 24, 2022 for £2.20.
Marketing Manager for Ilchester Lisa Harrison spoke on the new Ilchester Cheddar Cheese with Truffle saying, "Launching a new cheese that reflects how Brits have broaden their horizons when it comes to cheese, which is now inspired by ingredients from different regions of the world, felt like the best way to celebrate 60 years of Ilchester, and truffles are a real indication of foodie sophistication."
