JOOPIER is Pharrell's auction house and it recently unveiled a look at the unreleased collaborative Dunk High shoes by Supreme and Nike dubbed Chasing Grails. There are three extremely rare shoes, featuring a red, blue, and orange colorway palette. These are the first prototypes during the two giant's collaborative work back in 2003 and are one of the designs that never commercially launched and would not have been seen by the public until this auction.
The Head of Global Sales at JOOPITER Caitlin Donovan explains to Highsnobiety that "Thought to be locked away in a vault, or destroyed, these 2003 one-of-one prototypes for the highly collectible and beloved Supreme Nike SB Dunk High, are amongst the rarest of sneakers to ever come to market, a complete set of each colorway. The legend has it that this design was rejected by Nike, replaced by the iconic gold stars. From the collection of Ryan Chang, one of the most respected collectors in the industry, these three shoes represent the key elements of collectability — rarity, provenance, and condition."
