Collage Fashion Campaigns

The Ads for Chanel Fall 2016 are Creative Collages

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld uses a whole new style for the upcoming Chanel Fall 2016 ad campaign. Unlike previous campaigns, which are fashion editorials, these ads are actually collages. The image series basically looks like a school creative project with a mishmash of images cut out and glued onto patterned or colored paper.

In his interview with WWD, Lagerfeld mentions that he wanted to shake things up and do something new for the brand that had not been done before, citing that he "was tired of a girl holding a bag." Incorporating his love for collages into the new campaign was "an inspiration without roots -- spontaneous."

Changing up the Chanel Fall 2016 ad campaign to be more than regular fashion editorials or risque images is a great way to grab consumer attention and break through the advertising clutter.
