Lemay Designs the Chalet Vale Perkins in Potton, Quebec

Canadian architecture firm Lemay has designed the Chalet Vale Perkins prototype defined by its sloped roof and glazing made with mass timber. It is located in Potton, Quebec, and functions as an extension of the founder of the studio, Lous T Lemay's personal home. The design is conscious the user's well-being with a focus on biophilia and connecting to nature and other sustainable practices. The Chalet Vale Perkins is inspired by the landscape of the Lake Memphremagog region.

Lemay states, "Chalet Vale Perkins is a multigenerational, lakefront residence that's synchronous with its environment by design. In the spirit of experimentation, we've brought together Lemay's expertise in transdisciplinary design and sustainability through our Net Positive framework to create a beautifully minimalist, four-season space inspired by surrounding landscapes and vernacular architecture. It's home, one that interconnects you with nature while having as low an impact as possible on it
