UK-based menswear label Universal Works joins forces with PF Flyers to rework its iconic Center sneaker silhouette. The sneakers made its first appearance back in the 50s and the new iteration of the signature footwear is crafted to be suitable for the spring weather. The silhouette preserves the iconic profile design but is elevated with some premium materials -- specifically the heavyweight suede uppers. There are a total of four new styles produced in collaboration and this includes the Center Hi in a tan gue, Center Lo in navy blue, and an ecru iteration in both a Hi and Lo option.
In addition to the heavyweight suede construction across the uppers, some other details include an iron-on ankle patch and a bright yellow pop on the outsoles. There is also stripe accents on the midsole and back heel tab, and the whole silhouette is finished with a dark gum sole. The shoes are now available for purchase online at PF Flyers, Universal Works and select retailers, priced at $80 USD for the Center Lo silhouettes and $85 USD for the Center Hi options.
