Designer and artist Jérôme Pereira creates the Celestial Attraction series which is a range of weighted lights. The art uses tree branches that were foraged by Pereira from forests in his studio in the south of France. There are nine lights as a part of his show which has been staged by design gallery Philia during Milan Design Week.
Most of the light art is mobile including brown glass lamps that are hanging from the ceiling or the tree branches. Ygaël Attali, co-founder of Philia explains the designer as "Jérôme Pereira's sculptural work embodies a tangible contemplation of the intricate interplay between balance and gravity, a prominent luminary in the realm of contemporary sculpture. The poetic and philosophical depth of his works adds a profound layer to the contemporary artistic landscape."
