A Japanese cosmetics company is branding their hair products with a cedar package. This Shu Uemura Art of Hair case is made with authentic cedar wood and contains a removable, wooden tray with three compartments lined with black plush felt.
Designed by Project Packaging, the compact box is elegant. By using a cedar package the design firm connects customers to the hair and cosmetics brand's Japanese heritage. The simplicity of the high end lacquered box lets the products within speak for themselves. The inside of the box's lid contains a few choice words from the brand's founder, reading "Never stop thinking, improving, innovating." This engraving adds a personal touch to the luxurious packaging. The box also closes with a magnetic fastener, making a satisfying noise when it is properly shut.
