Koenigsegg announced the 'CC850' at a special world premiere event at the end of Monterey Car Week 2022. The release was also uploaded to YouTube following the live announcement. The design of the CC850 is effectively a modernized, reimagined version of the company's 20-year-old CC8S. As such, the vehicle features notable elements such as angled, recessed taillights, large intake vents along the doors, a small trim extending from below the front and sides of the car, and the signature Koenigsegg frame shape.
Koenigsegg stated that the CC850 will boast a V-8 twin-turbo 5-liter unit with a peak horsepower of 1,366. Additionally, the Swedish automaker stated that this car will be the strongest manual production car in existence when it launches, an ode to the fact that Koenigsegg has repeatedly manufactured the strongest production car on the market.
Von Koenigsegg stated that the car was simultaneously created in honor of the company's 20th birthday and Von's 50th birthday, resulting in the CC850 being an incredibly historic modern car.
