Multimedia artist Siobhan Meow utilizes cat excrement in her cat paintings with urine and fecal matter. The Manhattan-based artist is truly a lover of the furry felines. Having rescued countless homeless and abandoned cats, Meow currently lives with 20 of them, though she housed up to 100 at the highest point.
As a multimedia artist, Meow uses all materials in her work, including scrapings off the studio floor and excrement from animals. The artist’s persevering efforts to preserve the fond memories of her pets in artful depictions is quite admirable. Because Meow suffers from dissociative identity disorder, more commonly known as multiple personality disorder, she works tirelessly on each piece in fear that she may not be able to complete the artwork if another personality takes over.
