Usually, the injured forearm is wrapped in a messy series of plaster or fiberglass. The Cast21 is made by sliding a sleeve of silicone tube over the arm and filling it with a fast-hardening resin.
Within the span of minutes, it is a breathable and waterproof layer of protection around the arm. After the healing process is aided by the Cast21, it is easily removed without the intimidating saw that is used to remove fiberglass.
