Casino Themed Chrysler Minivan

Town & Country Black Jack

Just when we thought minivans were nearing extinction, Chrysler hits us with a brand new Town and Country, but this time, with a twist. The new minivan was inspired by the Las Vegas Luxor Hotel and Casino, and features a range of themed gadgets and features.

It's been dubbed the Black Jack edition and will debut at the SEMA 2007 show.

"Besides loads of LED lighting to give the ride an 'after hours lounge bar' feeling, the minivan also has a light-weight carbon fiber blackjack table, a centered dealer's seat and a leather-wrapped curved bench for the players. Of course what's a 'tripped-out' vehicle these days without a large 37-inch LCD flat screen in the back, as well as a Windows XP based media center running all of the entertainment," Oh Gizmo! said.

This breed of vehicle has always been geared at mothers with young children, the"'practical solution" to dealing with multiple kids, carting them off to hockey practice, ballet or dropping them and all their friends off at the movie theatre.

I don't care how many comfort, entertainment or luxury feature it has -- it's still a minivan, Amber-Black pearl paint job and all. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one a little traumatized by this. It will be interesting to see if their new target demographic takes the bait.
