Local architecture firm DF Arquitectos unveils a look at the Casa Club Pumas design which is wrapped in volcanic stone. This space is designed for a football team in Mexico City, the Pumas First Division Team at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. The clubhouse is owned by the university and is meant to be a safe space for soccer training in an area with high crime rates.
The studio explains that the space is used as "support for physical and mental health and responds to the demand of the population growth of new young soccer players at a national and international level and who require specific infrastructure to be able to stay in a sports club." It continues, stating it is"Inspired by the resurgence of young talents striving for consolidation, the project serves as a nurturing ground for youth, seamlessly integrated into their immediate context."
