Porsche recently showcased CarPlay-compatible radios, which are intended for use in vintage Porsche models. The new CarPlay-compatible radios were designed to have the same aesthetic features of vintage Porsche cars, however, they can also offer modern technology that consumers are used to using. For instance, the radios use buttons and dials in place of a touch screen. The radios feature Bluetooth, and DAB+ capabilities, as well as support for Apple CarPlay.
Two versions are currently available from the auto manufacturer's website. Overall, Porsche’s new units provide a solution for vintage car drivers, who may want modern in-car entertainment, but also want to keep the aesthetic of the car similar to the time it was released.
