Canva Launches its New AI Tool on its Creative New Platform

Australian design application Canva launches its new creative platform to kick off its new text-to-image artificial intelligence tool. The tool was actually tested during the month of September and will roll out to over 100 million users. It integrates an open-source text-to-image model Stable Diffusion along with a set of extra safety filters and custom UI to help direct users to the results that they're looking for.

Speaking about the new launch, Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of Canva Cameron Adams tells The Verge, "We’re treating this as very much a learning experience for our community, [...] We’re keen to get this technology in front of them because it’s an emergent field, and the exact way it works and how customers will interact with it is still being developed."
