Ritual Coffee and Somatik are Now Making Cannabis-Infused Coffee

Somatik's ready-to-drink bottled cannabis-infused coffee is now being made with the help of Ritual Coffee Roasters. The co-branded Medical Cannabis-Infused Cold Brew features a base of Ritual Coffee's single-origin coffee and cannabis grown in California. In terms of taste, the cold brew coffee is said to be "light-bodied and smooth with subtle notes of cherry, a hint of herbaceous flavor, and undertones of bright lemon."

While the Medical Cannabis-Infused Cold Brew is unique for being a cold brew coffee product, the concept of cannabis-infused coffee can be seen in several cafes and consumer products. By introducing small amounts of CBD and THC into food and beverage products, brands are experimenting with different ways to provide the benefits of the cannabis plant to consumers. As a result, a new wave of both "edibles" and "drinkables" are being created.
