Contemporary Industrial Candle Holders

Candelabro by Jorge De La Cruz is Clean-Cut and Modular

The Candelabro by Jorge De La Cruz, who worked in collaboration with Diana Vernaza Gonzenbach, is a modular candle holder. Clean-cut and contemporary, it nevertheless has an industrial feel that is rustic and rugged in a refined way. Made out of lacquered ash wood rods and copper pipe joints, it forms a triangulated stable structure that is both fluid and rigid.

Recently presented at Salone Satellite during Milan Design Week 2012 earlier this year, the Candelabro by Jorge De La Cruz and Diana Vernaza Gonzenbach was specifically created for the Let It Open exhibition. The exhibit explores collaborative efforts between contemporary designers, how designing and sharing acquired knowledge can change their signature craft. In this case, there is a duality of genders in the creation of Candelabro.
