As a part of its latest social campaign, the bank BBVA Continental presented the initiative to facilitate access to water for the people of el Suro-El Verde, Cajamarca (Peru), who have to walk approximately 3 km daily to reach a well where the water is contaminated.
The agency responsible for developing this initiative created an ATM that dispenses water. The difference with this ATM is that it is connected to a tank that allows it to provide such an important resource. This dispenser is only a temporary solution, so the BBVA's main objective is the construction of something more permanent.
This proposal seeks to create an action that will motivate people to show the true value of water, which in many communities, is greater than money.
