As a means of celebrating its 40th anniversary, MCM joined with Christopher Raeburn, a high-profile British designer, to create a series of camouflage apparel that adapts the well-worn print for an aesthetic that verges on futuristic.
The fashion label and the designer do this by giving the different patches of color that make up the camouflage apparel a more mechanical structure -- transforming it to be more geometrically inclined. In addition to this, MCM and Christopher Raeburn make use of unconventional colorways for the print, with gray, white and black marking a selection, as well as yellow and purple themes marking others.
In addition to functioning as statement-worthy and fashionable wardrobe additions, the camouflage apparel is made with technical material that does well in protecting its wearer from the elements.
